Enise completed her Bachelor of Science Honours in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, with a minor in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. She joined the Perth Veterinary Clinic in 2021, choosing to leave behind city life because she loves making deeper connections with pet owners/producers and being part of the special community Perth has to offer. As much as it was the animals that drew Enise to veterinary medicine, it was their people too.
Although she likes a little bit of everything, Enise’s professional interests include: ultrasonography, feline/canine nutrition, canine anxiety/behaviour, clinical pathology and pain management. And she has a soft spot for pigs and senior dogs!
She lives just outside town with her fiancé and their little pack of strays; a rescue dog named Halifax (“Hal”) and their cat, Handsome Kev (adopted from Perth Veterinary Clinic!). When Dr. Enise isn’t working, she enjoys hiking, crafting (making clothes, embroidery, painting), doing yoga and tending to her vegetable garden. After a long hiatus from hunter/jumper, Enise is hoping to get back in the saddle this coming summer.
Be sure to say hi if you see her in town!
